Turkey Stuffing Recipe
Chic & Creamy Stuffing
This recipe can easily be made LOW CARB.
Prep & cook time: 60 mins. (4 servings as a meal; 8 as a side dish)
YOUR LOCAL FRESH SHOPPING LIST:
♦ 1/2 lb. Sweet Sausage
♦ 1 1/2 T. (1/2 packet) Spitfire Gourmet Chic & Creamy
♦ 1 small Onion
♦ Celery
♦ Fresh Sage
♦ Fresh Thyme
♦ Garlic (jar is fine)
♦ Chicken Stock (or broth)
♦ 1 loaf of Bread (hearty multi-grain, sourdoush, whatever you love)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Brown and drain 1/2 lb. Sweet Sausage with 1/2 small chopped Onion and 2 chopped Celery stalks.
2. In a large bowl, mix with 1 1/2 T. (1/2 packet) Spitfire Gourmet Chic & Creamy, 2 T. chopped fresh Sage Leaves, leaves scraped from 4 sprigs fresh Thyme, and 1 T. chopped Garlic. Stir in 2 cups Chicken Stock (or broth) and 5 cups Bread cut into small cubes (about 8-10 slices). GOURMET TIP: To prep leafy herbs like sage, pinch the leaves all together and just chop all the way to the stem (discard stems). To strip sprigs of Thyme, hold the small end up, and \”scrape down\” to pull off the tiny leaves using your (clean 🙂 fingernails of your other hand.
3. Cook in turkey, or in baking dish uncovered at 375º for 40 minutes.
WINE: Hearty bread dishes pair great with Reisling (white) or Pinot Noir (red).
